COVID 19

Southland Pediatric Therapy: COVID-19 Updated: last updated January 20, 2021

Thank you for being patient with us during the COVID-19 pandemic! We are so grateful that you continue to stay flexible with us as we navigate the new service of tele-therapy. Our Ga clinic reopening timeline is subject to change at any time, however, at this time this is our plan moving forward. Safety of ALL is our #1 concern!

As of January 2021 we are open and seeing some patients in person and some via tele-therapy. At this time all therapists are allowed to evaluate/ re-evaluate in the clinic. Occupational and Physical therapy sessions can begin in the clinic, but most Speech therapy will still be conducted via tele-therapy. ** We may allow Speech therapy sessions in the clinic on a case-by-case basis to those unable to participate in tele-therapy. During this initial phase, our office staff will continue to stagger their days and work times to limit exposure. Please be patient with us as we manage our office with limited staff.

NEW OFFICE POLICIES:

  • Before arriving at our clinic: please take the child’s temperature at home before coming to therapy. Notify our office immediately if your child or anyone your child has come in contact with is showing signs or concerns of illness. If the child is showing signs of illness and still arrives to therapy, the session will be ended and a $25 cancellation fee will be due.
  • Upon arrival: Please text your therapist or call our main office line: 912-335-1650. We will retrieve your child from the car. Our waiting room will be closed to families until further notice. All therapists will wear masks or face shields during therapy. If a parent must enter the building, a face-mask is highly recommended, one will be made available to you if needed. Upon entry to our clinic, hand sanitizer or hand washing is required of patients, parents and therapists. If absolutely necessary, only 1 adult is allowed in the clinic with the patient, NO siblings.
  • Payments: if copays or balances are due at the time of service, please use our website for payment. Our office staff will be available to guide you on this process and provide deadlines for payment. https://southlandtherapy.com/payment/
  • Cleaning policy: Therapist will clean the table, chair, etc.. BEFORE therapy and anything the child touched immediately AFTER therapy, including but not limited to doorknobs, toys, etc. Our staff and therapists will continue to practice good hand washing and sanitizing protocols in all common areas to do our part to limit the spread of germs.

At this time, the return to therapy is also at the discretion of each individual therapist. Your therapist will be in touch with you to work on a specific plan for your child.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding!
